For primary teachers......selection is based on TET marks on the otherhand selection of Middle School teacher are based on marks owned in Matric + Inter + Graduation + B.ed.....Rediculous...

SELECTION OF TEACHERS IN INDIA; A RIDICULOUS PROCESS A teacher is reformer who is responsible for hundreds of students every year. Being a strong part of our society, what i feel, he should be well educated and trained towards his profession. I feel, a little shortcomings into his personality which is not commensurate to his profession, should be taken care of while selection process as unfit teacher  would harm hundreds of students every year in respective fields. It is pertinent to mention here that on one hand a teacher's performance/potential is highly wanting on another hand his selection is least considerate. In UP selection of teachers are based on mere sum total of marks achieved in academic years which is not a right way of selection. Mere getting good marks in matric, inter, graduation and bed as the case may be, enables a person to become a teacher. Sir, I believe, teachers selection should be made similar to selection process of officers in military........There should extensive and intensive selection process in accordance with their assignments...............
